The Team

The geese in question.

Creative Producer

Ollie Swetenham

Ollie Swetenham began his career at the multi-award-winning Fable Pictures, where he spent six years in development, sharpening his eye for bold, offbeat comedy and the kind of ideas that survive the long march from script to screen. During that time, he script-edited Hullraisers, Lucy Beaumont's BAFTA-nominated series and produced Comedy Playground 'Jimz Jamz School 4 Dadz' for Tatenda Shamiso. He continues as a producer on an upcoming Channel 4 series originated by Mike Rice and Ed Night.

Having worked closely with Edd during his time at Fable, it took only a modest amount of arm-twisting to convince Ollie to help set up Van Goose. He now spends his time developing and producing comedy full-time — primarily in pursuit of making people laugh, and secondarily in the hope that this continues to count as a real job.

Creative Producer

Edd Williams

Edd Williams began his career in development at the BBC, going on to work as an author, being nominated for a BIFA for his writing on a feature film and latterly working on developing and writing sitcoms that were optioned by the likes of Fable Pictures and Saffron Cherry. With the ringing endorsement of his first sitcom by comedy luminary Henry Normal as being 'As good as anything else on telly' he threw his back into writing and developing and after a decade of working with companies like FMA Media, Spotlight Pictures and Britcan he pestered Ollie into starting Van Goose.

Post acquiescence he is singularly focused on working on projects that make him laugh. And possibly gaining credibility in his children's pitying eyes.

Development Assistant

Will Perkins

Will Perkins is a London-based producer and National Film & Television School graduate who came up through the locations department, spending five years on sets before shifting into development. Somewhere between wrangling film crews and writing script notes, he developed a taste for comedy that's hooky, brutal, and always chasing the biggest laugh. He has produced a slate of short films that have screened internationally at BAFTA and Oscar-qualifying festivals including BFI Flare and Raindance, while finding experience in a range of production companies.

He came on to support the team at Van Goose as they build their slate, keen to be part of the change he wants to see in comedy and to help foster bold, original ideas that stay with audiences for decades.
